Who We Are?

We are an online scholarly publisher of Journals, Books, Edited Volumes, Monograph, Conference Proceedings, Thesis etc. Our publishing activity is limited to academic and refereed contents only.

AIJR Publisher is dedicated to protecting your personal information and will make every reasonable effort to handle collected information appropriately. All information collected will be handled with care in accordance with AIJR’s standards for integrity and objectivity and respect for your privacy. As used in this policy, “we” and “us” includes AIJR and our staff, employees, directors, editors, volunteer editors, volunteer reviewers, and vendors and independent contractors under contract with us. “AIJR Sites” includes the following-

  • The web pages and content on the AIJR websites
  • AIJR journal & AIJR book sites, along with the tools, software, submission systems, web forms, registration system.
  • Any other means through which we interact with you.

Your use of and interaction with the AIJR sites constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the practices described in this privacy policy, as they may be modified from time to time. If you do not agree with and accept all of the practices described in this privacy policy, do not use the AIJR sites and do not provide or submit any personally-identifying information by means of or while using the AIJR sites. By providing personal information to us, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

What Personal Data & Why We Collect?

Personal Information

While interacting with the AIJR Sites, we may request personal information from you, which may include items such as your name, designation, academic detail, mailing address, email address, institutional affiliation, ORCID iD, and credit card or other payment information . Your provision of such information is strictly voluntary. You can generally visit the AIJR Sites without disclosing such information. If you register on any AIJR website, we will gather and store your user name and password. If you are an author who is submitting or has submitted a manuscript or other research outputs to AIJR for our consideration or for publishing on our sites, we will require you to provide the above types of information so that we may consider, process, and possibly publish your manuscript, in conformance with accepted publishing standards. Where your manuscript is published at least your name, affiliation, email id, and ORCID iD will appear as part of the publication. Likewise, when you register on any AIJR site for updates or to receive other types of notifications from us, we will ask for your name, country & email address at a minimum to enable us to send you the information you have requested.

Technical Information

Additionally, we may collect, have access to, store and use your computer’s IP address, the URL/domain name of any referring website, the time and date of your visit to the AIJR Sites, and certain information known as “clickstream data” to enable us to understand how people interact with the AIJR Sites, to analyze data for trends and statistics, to help diagnose and solve issues with the AIJR Sites and our technologies, products, and services, and to optimize the performance of the AIJR Sites. We also use session cookies, small data files stored in your browser so you don’t have to log in each time you visit any of our web pages. From time to time, we use software tools to play back user sessions for purposes of assessing our customers’ interactions with our software, and these sessions may be linked to your user account. If you do not want session cookies stored on your computer, you may be able to adjust your browser settings to prevent this, but note that by not accepting cookies, some pages may not fully function and you may not be able to access certain information on the AIJR Sites.

Protection of Children

Use of the AIJR Sites are intended for Bachelor Degree students and above (at least eighteen years of age), and hence we will not knowingly collect personally-identifying information from children under the age of thirteen (13). AIJR endeavors to adhere to the provisions of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (“COPPA”).

How We May Use and Disclose Your Information

Use by AIJR

AIJR uses your personal information as described above, and to customize your experience on the AIJR Sites and to facilitate our interactions with you. If you are an author, we will use your personal information for the purpose of processing, reviewing, communicating about, facilitating editorial review and peer review, for publishing, and to facilitate payment of article processing charges. If you are an editor or reviewer, we may use your personal information to contact you about your potential or actual role as an editor or reviewer, to request and facilitate your review and handling of manuscripts, and to update you on news and developments at AIJR as it may affect your work with us. If you simply come to AIJR websites to read content, we will use information such as your URL and cookies to provide a good experience, as described above. Except as where necessary to provide services to you, AIJR staff does not typically take note of your personal information; the information is mainly stored on or by our computers, computer networks, servers, tools, and systems, as described above.

Potential Disclosure to Third Parties

If you submit a manuscript to us for possible publication, we will send the title and abstract of your paper, and your name, to one or more potential editors and reviewers, to gauge their interest in reviewing your paper. If they agree to handle your paper, we will send them your full manuscript and any revisions and relevant comments you have provided relating thereto. We may disclose personal information as discussed above and as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy to our employees and to third parties under contract with us, including vendors, volunteers, independent contractors, and consultants, to financial institutions for the purposes of facilitating payment of fees, web and technical support providers, other publishers and/or content hosting providers under contract with us, third parties authorized by you to receive such information, and as may be required or permitted by law. As described above, we may also share information regarding you and your manuscript or other research content as reasonably necessary with parties such as external editors and reviewers, and with community journal staff, curators, and channel managers. We share only the information necessary for third parties to provide the intended products and services. In some cases of the applications or user interfaces you encounter while on our sites are managed by third parties, who may require that you provide your personal information and who have assured us of their compliance with applicable laws.

No Sale of Your Information

Except as described in this privacy policy, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. We will not sell or lease your personal information to any third party. We may disclose aggregate demographic and statistical information with our business partners; this information is not specific to the identification of you as an individual.

Exceptional Reasons Regarding Personal Information

In addition to the reasons stated above, we may use your personal information to comply with contracts, legal agreements, our terms of use and privacy policies, and to comply with applicable laws. We may produce personal information as and to the extent compelled by court order or a law enforcement agency.

How Long We Retain Your Information

We keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide services to you, and for as long as your account and/or registration with AIJR is active. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, publications ethics to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. If you are an author and your manuscript get published, certain information published with manuscript will available as it is forever as per publication ethics and requirement.

Comments on AIJR Sites

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Uploading Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact & Other Forms

Contact forms as well as all forms which need to fill for any kind of query/application on AIJR stores a record of all submissions. Uploaded media files may remain on the server. Your data may be deleted by the site administrator. You may request a report of saved data related to your email address. All data will be used for decision making & communication purpose for related concern.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content from other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your Control Over Your Data

If you have an account on AIJR sites or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

Further, If you have an account with AIJR sites, you may log in and edit profile to update/change/delete most of the account information by yourself. You can also request us to erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for publication ethics, administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Website (“Service Providers”), to provide our Website on our behalf, to perform Website-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Website is used. These third-parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. Payments processors

We also provide paid products and/or services on our Website. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing. We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.

Updates to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this policy, we may notify you on our Website, by a blog post, by email, or by any method we determine. The method we chose is at our sole discretion. We will also change the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy. Any changes we make to our Privacy Policy are effective as of this Last Updated date and replace any prior Privacy Policies.
